Earth4All in Austria: Nutrition Turnaround

As part of our project “Earth4All: 5 Turning Points for Austria,” this event addresses the topics of the Nutrition Turning Point.

“From Farm to Fork” is the European strategy intended to guide us towards a sustainable supply of healthy food for Europe. However, this image of food coming directly from the field to our table obscures the complexity of modern food value chains. We like to view Austria as a culinary stronghold and take pride in the products from our local agriculture and production. Despite these successes, we know that we will have to undergo a massive transformation in the coming decades.

We therefore want to discuss how this can be achieved with leaders from politics, business, and science. Regulatory, economic, ecological, and social challenges will be addressed, and potential solutions will be outlined. However, one thing is already clear today – there will be no simple answers to complex questions.
