The “empowerment” turnaround focuses on a social transformation in the areas of ageing and pensions, as well as gender equality and education. In terms of a global “Giant Leap”, both visible and invisible barriers must be broken down.

In order to lift billions of people in countries of the Global South out of poverty, a transformation of the international financial architecture and global trade agreements is needed. If Austria is to position itself in this regard, it will have to work on systemic solutions.
Global poverty is certainly the most urgent global problem at present. Combating it is not only a prerequisite for individual well-being and peaceful coexistence, but also for a successful climate policy strategy.
On March 5, after the topics of “energy” and “nutrition”, we will focus on the third turnaround, namely the topic of “inequality”.
We need an Earth in which everyone can participate equally and on which everyone can feel comfortable and develop. And, of course, this includes ensuring that our planet continues to exist in its diversity and offers livable conditions – on all continents.
